A decade and few years have passed after the brutal killing and disappearance of “Segametsi Mogomotsi!
Third quarter of this year “Tsotsi karema!” was lost and found dead.
Looking closer to our neighborhood “Terry Pheto yesterday tweeted an appalling news feed! South Africa is hit the most by child disappearance and killing!
What can be done in Africa especially SADC region to protect the children?
- Behavior pattern reveals that election era, muthi or ritual killings are the main escalating reasons people do this.
- Killers are always closely related or acquaintances of the mother.
- Money or instability too plays a role.
Child trafficking cases are now becoming a usual thing, campaigns are there but we cannot deny these facts!
Stop 🛑 child trafficking!
Many organizations are calling on to governments to amend constitutional laws of child trafficking and increase sentences, however some ask for death penalty.
This is due to now child trafficking is now a lucrative business in Africa only because the sentences are lenient.
A country like Botswana with death penalty to murderers make it better for people to fear killing others because they know they will die.
Why can’t the same law be applied to child trafficking?
