STUDENTS IN UNIVERSITIES SMOOTH STAY

Students leave home for further studies in universities. Coming from different parts of the country they usually hope for the best in their new places. However, finding an affordable accommodation is posing some difficulties for them. Landlords and landladies charge high prices for their rentals and sometimes fail to rent to some students due to factors such as tribes and their culture or even gender.

Some landlords may fail to rent to boys and as in my case girls too and decide to rent for one gender and if asked why they just say it’s the trend there. Also most schools do not have enough hostels to cater for all the students. This in turn leads to many students be affected by mental stress because the rents too are soaring high with this economy.

Many students end up lacking the money to pay for the rents and prefer to remain home or maybe look for jobs alongside education.

The school administration together with the government should look for ways to improve the accommodation of students in order to make their living in schools better
