Political, religious, and business community leaders have hailed President William Ruto’s week-long tour of the mountain region that saw him tour 22 constituencies in nine counties.
The leaders are optimistic that this time round, various pledges and promises made by the Head of State will come to pass.
The leaders noted that though there were some ugly incidents, the tour was generally successful.
“Grateful to the people of Nyeri, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Meru, Tharaka Nithi, Embu, Kirinyaga, Muranga and Kiambu counties for warmly welcoming the President and our entire team during this past week,” said Deputy President Prof Kithure Kindiki.
Nyeri Governor Dr Mutahi Kahiga, an ally of former DP Rigathi Gachagua, similarly thanked the president as he urged him to make more visits in the region.
