Tharaka Nithi Governor Pushes For Swift Implementation Of Infrastructure Projects

Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki is pushing for the expedited implementation of key infrastructure projects in the county following high-level meetings with top government officials.

On Thursday, Governor Njuki held discussions with Deputy President Professor Kithure Kindiki, where they resolved to align the county’s project execution plans with the relevant national ministries.

Later in the day, the governor met with Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Infrastructure Davis Chirchir in Nairobi to outline a road map for the implementation of projects under the ministry’s jurisdiction.

Speaking after the meeting, Governor Njuki expressed optimism about the collaboration, emphasizing the need for efficiency and urgency.

“We are looking forward to speedy execution,” he said, underscoring the importance of timely project delivery to benefit Tharaka Nithi residents.

The discussions focused on enhancing road networks and other critical infrastructure developments that are expected to boost connectivity and economic growth in the region.

With the national and county governments working closely together, residents anticipate accelerated progress in key development initiatives.

More details on specific projects and timelines are expected to be released in the coming weeks when the governor will be meeting other county leaders.

The county boss will also come up with development implementation committee comprising elected leaders and from other  sectors as advised by DP Kindiki.

The committee will work closely with Kindiki and other relevant national government offices for the delivery of the projects top on priority list being the stalled projects like roads.

The DP also tasked the Governor with uniting the county political leadership in order to push from one direction.
