In the silent whisper of the clock’s steady chime,
Lies the unspoken sorrow of the passing time.
Moments drift like leaves upon a restless stream,
Each one a fragment of an unfulfilled dream.
Time, the thief with the softest tread,
Steals away the hours we’ve left unsaid.
Regrets and wishes linger in its wake,
For every second passed is one we cannot remake.
Memories, shadows of what once was near,
Echoes of laughter, glimpses of a tear.
We chase the future, yet it’s always out of reach,
The lessons of the past, the truths they teach.
Cherish each moment, for they are fleeting,
Each tick of the clock, our hearts repeating.
The most heavy loss, a silent crime,
Is the precious, irreplaceable passage of time.
