THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THAT WE HAVE TO DO—OR WHICH WE CAN DO—TO EARN GOD’S LOVE
“God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us( ROMANS 5:8). It is amazing from this scripture that the commendations comes from the Living God, Who has no need of this love from anyone! Rather it is His Love that is greatly needed and most beneficial. In receiving Christ as our Savior, we receive the full expression of God’s love toward us.
There is absolutely nothing that we have to do—or which we can do—to earn God’s love. God loves us through Jesus Christ. He loves us because He desires and chooses to love us. We experience His love only as we accept all that Jesus Christ did for us on the cross and open our hearts to Him in faith. As John also wrote, “We love Him, because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19).
He gave Himself an offering and a sacrifice for us. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him (1 JOHN 4:16). I pray God enables us to full understand His love, and for us to fully embrace it, and live continuously/ increasingly in this love. Selah!
