Three suspects in Baby Sagini’s case have appeared at Kisii law court following the gouging out of Sagini’s eyes.
The three suspects Alex Maina Ochogo, Pacifica Nyakerario and Rael Nyakerario they are alleged to have gouged out Baby Sagini’s eyes on 13/12/2022 at Ikuruma Village, Marani Sub County in Kisii County.
Rael Nyakerario who is grandmother to baby Sagini is the third suspect who was arrested yesterday linked to the bizarre attack of the baby.
The three suspects appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Christine Ogweno following the conclusion of investigations by the investigation officers.
Hillary Kaino the presecutor told the court they will not proceed to charge the suspects following the absence of interested parties like children’s officer and the Law Society of Kenya.
Kaino requested the suspects to be detained for a day for the interested parties to be present during the plea taking on 23/12/2022.
The suspects agreed with the submission from the prosecutor to be detained for a day.
Senior Resident Magistrate said the court has considered the magnitude of the matter; the suspects will take plea in the presence of interested parties.
The suspects will be detained at Rioma Police station to face the charges.
The suspects will appear at Kisii Law Court on 23/12/2022.
