Tong Lueth Matiok is a graduate of the School of Natural Resources and Environmental Studies at the University of Juba, where he studied Agricultural Sciences. He completed his secondary education at Standard Secondary School in Wau and has contributed articles to national newspapers in South Sudan advocating for environmental cleanliness and youth empowerment through peacebuilding.
In addition to being a digital storyteller and content creator, Tong is also a creative writer and the co-founder of the Ayiet Youth Initiative Support Program (AYISP), an organization that supports education in marginalized communities by motivating volunteer teachers to provide quality education.
He is the author of the national bestselling book “Poverty Robbed Me” and a member of Tukul School and Writers Writing Fellowship.
‘The Resilience Of An Orphan’’ is a book that encourages young girls to take radical responsibility of their lives and say no to early marriage and immature pregnancy and allow them to follow their dreams defying against all odds in sea of adversities and find the way to accomplish the tasks. The book teaches resiliency, strength and mental toughness.
This is a story of a young girl who refused to be defined by her circumstances, who turned her pain into purpose, and who dared to dream big. It is a testament to the triumph of the human spirit and the incredible heights one can reach when faced with life’s harshest challenges.
