Uber has introduced its first-ever membership program in Kenya, Uber One, offering riders and eaters exclusive benefits, savings, and a more elevated experience. This marks a significant milestone as the first membership service in the country’s ride-hailing industry.
As the only membership program providing discounts and exclusive experiences across both rides and delivery, its also designed to help members navigate everyday life.
“Uber has revolutionized Kenya’s mobility and delivery needs since our launch in 2015, hundreds of thousands of riders and eaters in the country collectively take advantage of the convenience, accessibility and sheer ease that our brands provide. We’re proud to keep building on this value with the deployment of Uber One,” said Imran Manji, Head of Uber East Africa and Head of Business Development for Africa.
Additionally, it aims to provide convenience and cost savings for frequent users of its services. The membership, available at Ksh 280 per month or Ksh 2,800 annually, offers a range of perks designed to enhance everyday moments, whether it’s commuting, ordering meals, or running errands.
“We want customers to experience firsthand how Uber can make their every day more effortless. Uber One offers elevated access to all of Uber rides, delivery, and groceries. Members get preferred pricing, surprise discounts and delight perks that can make every day more fun,”said Kui Mbugua Macharia, Uber Eats General Manager, Kenya.
It’s members will enjoy 10% in Uber One credits on Premium rides (Uber Comfort and Uber XL) and 5% on Economy rides (Uber ChapChap) and Uber Boda, KES 0 delivery fee on eligible Uber Eats orders, up to 100% off service fees on select orders, exclusive Uber One deals and offers for members and access to top-rated drivers and priority customer support for a seamless experience.
To subscribe Uber users in Kenya can sign up for Uber One through the Uber or Uber Eats apps and start enjoying the benefits immediately.
