Kirinyaga County Senator Charles Kibiru is optimistic of winning the gubernatorial seat which he says will enable him delivers the residents to prosperity.
The Senator alongside his running mate, Peter Ndambiri have been criss-crossing the county selling their manifesto with majority of the local voters vowing to support their bid.
In their meetings, the duo have continued to endear themselves with the locals as the most qualified amongst the contenders for the top leadership in the area.
They locals say the two have demonstrated their commitment to serve the local people and thus they had trust they will steer the county forward once they take over the leadership after the August 9th General Election.
For Kibiru, popularly known as CK, the residents say his leadership and dedication as the area senator was proof enough that he has what it takes to be the county Chief Executive Officer.
On his running mate, Ndambiri, they say he has learnt a lot as the Deputy Governor of the outgoing administration.
On their part, both Kibiru and Ndambiri have vowed to ensure they will raise the living of standards of the locals through various empowerment initiatives.
They will ensure that farmers in different subsectors received maximum returns for their produce.
For the business community, the duo assures them that they would ensure that they accessed various affordable credit facilities and that the levies demanded by the county government would be reasonable.
The gubernatorial seat has attracted contestants who include the incumbent Ann Waiguru of UDA, Wangui Ngirichi who is an Independent candidate, former governor Joseph Ndathi who is The Service Party (TPS) candidate and former Mwea MP Peter Gitau.
