The autumn breeze, a quiet sigh,
As golden leaves begin to fly.
They dance and swirl in amber light,
Bidding farewell to fading night.
The branches bend, the trees bow low,
In whispered tones, their secrets flow.
A sky of flame, a world set free,
In hues of red, and rust, and sea.
The earth beneath, so soft, so wide,
Awaits the fall with humble pride.
Each leaf, a memory, each gust, a song,
Of days that linger, but not for long.
Oh fleeting season, gentle and wise,
You paint the world in sweet goodbyes.
With every leaf that drifts away,
You teach us how to let things sway.
For in the quiet, crisp and cold,
We find the stories yet untold.
And though the year may near its end,
In autumn’s arms, we learn to mend.
