WORLD SCOUT PARLIAMENTARY UNION (WSPU) MEETS AHEAD OF 2023 CONVENTION
Leaders who attended the World Scouts Parliamentary Union (WSPU) meeting yesterday.

World Scouts Parliamentary Union (WSPU) officials convened yesterday to plan for next year’s continental meeting in the country.
The meeting which was chaired by Senator Tabitha Mutinda.
It came at a time when Nyeri County is preparing for WSPU 2023 Africa Assembly and 2025 General Assembly.
As the Patron of the Scouting Movement in Nyeri County, Nyeri County governor Mutahi Kahiga joined the WSPU officials and other leaders for the Scouts leaders’ consultative meeting that was held at Parliament Buildings, Nairobi.
Nyeri County is recognized globally due to the graves of Scouts Movement Founder Lord Baden Powell and his wife Olave which are in Nyeri town.
Powell is on the other hand recognized internationally for his selfless devotion and contribution to the growth of the movement.
The graves in Nyeri town promotes scouting tourism in Nyeri County. This was the last home of the foundaree.
The meeting also comes at a time when scouts’ leaders are preparing for the 10th General Assembly to be held in South Korea next month.
Among those who also attended by Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago, Kisii Woman Rep Donya Aburi, Nyeri CEC Tourism, Trade and Cooperatives Diana Kendi, WSPU officials led by Poppins Misoi, officers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs among others.
