Get trained to mentor, get experience and get into the field, but be ready to know and acknowledge if not accept that you shall be belittled, taken for granted and be widely used until you make a name for yourself and stamp of not signal respect, expert and responsible in what you do.
Even after that you will find those who find you as a competition not a role model, you will find ungrateful and threatened bunch too, than we are here to learn and grow group.
Fear of God, principles is important in the journey of mentorship! Uncultured groups shall emerge and how you handle it says a lot about you. Never be too judgemental just give each day its chance to unfold.
Holding grudges also is a waste of time but rather set rules.
Turning a skill into a business is important as the clients- customer service support is important than, free will no contract service which is ruled by nothing nor law. Mentors need to grow into consultancies as they mature and grow to make the career easier to manage; there will always be free centers to aid those who cannot afford.
We have so much social ills.
We have so much ungrateful people.
Times are tough!
But we ought to just try being positive.
Flow with the ones who need a change, walk with ones who needs help and shows they are keen.
In times where each one is I know it all, more information is out there, everyone is educated as a specialist in your field, there is less one can do except let nature take its course.
Do not force superiority on anyone, or leadership those who want to be lead shall find their way to you, and the know it all shall go their way, and the users shall manifest.
Mentorship in twenty first century simply can work with fees, any freebies reduce the quality of the service as free things are not handled with care, let them with wide ears hear!
