Manyatta Member of Parliament Gitonga Mukunji is a go getter. The youthful parliamentarian is focused and dedicated to deliver for the great people of Manyatta who bestowed the responsibility of representation on him.
In his social media communication, he noted:
“Held a meeting with Kenya Urban Road Authority (KURA) Engineers led by Eng. Orwa to follow up on a number of roads in Manyatta constituency.
The team reported to us that the tarmacking of 6.5km Muthatari-Kimangaru road and 3.4km Muthatari-Karurina had begun.
We also held a meeting with KeRRA Director General Eng. Philemon Kandie to follow up on the construction of the stalled Mwiria and Mukongoro bridges and compensation of our people along the Embu ring road. He assured us that the contractor would continue with the construction after receiving a pending payment.
We also lobbied for the tarmacking of Ena-Kithimu-Kivwe road and Kibugu-Kangethia-Kathangariri road (Mau Mau road). Mr Kandie has promised to secure a budget for the two roads.
Later passed by KENHA offices to follow up on the erection of speed bumps at Matakari area along Embu-Siakago road which has turned to a blackspot. The officers will immediately follow up with the regional office to facilitate the erection of the bumps to ensure safety of our people.”
The Mount Kenya Times wishes him success.
