Tea farmers umbrella body, the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) held its Annual General Meeting last Friday.
The meeting by KTDA Holdings directors and senior officials discussed and adopted the company’s annual report and financial statements for the year that ended in June 2022.
The event brought together KTDA Board and affiliate factories chairmen to review the performance of the company.
During the event, Chairman David Muni Ichoho lauded the factory directors for pressing on with the reforms initiated last year and which he noted have led to a significant improvement in the welfare of thousands of small scale tea farmers across the country.
The chairman pledged to continue with meaningful dialogue with President William Ruto’s government for the benefit of smallholder farmers.
