TRUTH
By: Saul Kalivubha
Worth Noting:
- Having a large number of people whom he blames every day, if it is not people then he will have a large number of different circumstances to blame, for example you will hear it is because of rain, hot sun, queues, etc. and even one day you will not hear him say it is because of laziness his late risers.
- Having recurring challenges is due to the fact that the problem is him but he is lying to himself that it is not him and because the problem is the beginning of the challenge that is why the same type of challenges appear a lot for him, for example at the beginning he will tell you that the problem is money
When was the last time you told yourself the truth? Honestly, give yourself the right answers to that question because many of us lie to ourselves, that’s why today I came up with this lesson so that we can see the effects of self-deception and how to get rid of that habit of self-deception.
Do you like to be lied to? The answer will be no! I don’t think anyone likes to be lied to. Lying is a condition of believing a lie to be used as the truth. For example, you are in bed and then you get a call asking where are you? You answer that you are already at work and you have made him believe the lie that you are at work but the truth is in bed so you have made your partner believe what you have made him believe. The characteristic of lies is to be developed, so if you lie to someone, you will try to find a false environment to flesh out your lie to make it appear true, that’s why if someone lies about one thing, there is a high possibility that the next thing that follows will not be true. Of course, you have found a picture, now we have seen someone who he is lying to others, what if you are lying to yourself?
DECEPTION
Self-deception is looking for accuracy by blaming others for your mistakes, for example you are late to work so you are also late to finish the day’s duties but instead tell yourself the truth that the problem is lateness is the cause of everything you defend yourself by telling yourself that there were too many tasks so it is the employer’s fault to schedule you alone that unit, you have already lied to yourself to justify your tardiness as not being a problem but the employer’s problem. We lie to ourselves every day in many things and the situation makes us feel that we are 100% correct every day.
Do you know the effects of self-deception? One of the signs that someone is deceiving him/herself are these two main ones
- Having a large number of people whom he blames every day, if it is not people then he will have a large number of different circumstances to blame, for example you will hear it is because of rain, hot sun, queues, etc. and even one day you will not hear him say it is because of laziness his late risers.
- Having recurring challenges is due to the fact that the problem is him but he is lying to himself that it is not him and because the problem is the beginning of the challenge that is why the same type of challenges appear a lot for him, for example at the beginning he will tell you that the problem is money that is why he does not do business but if you give him money , he will tell you that time is not his friend and if you give him enough time, you will hear him saying again that the business he wants to do is not it’s season, but perhaps the problem is his fear or just misuse of money, that is why the challenge of failing to start a business has repeated itself every time.
The two symptoms clearly show the effects that a person who avoids the truth by holding others responsible for his mistakes gets. If the problem is you, you will avoid it by defending yourself, but the result of that problem will always come back to you so you will be a person who defends yourself every day but you repeat the same mistakes every day. Self-deception is a habit that binds our legs to walk because you cannot move forward while you still haven’t solved the problem that makes your legs heavy. For example, if you are driving a car and the battery has a problem causing the lights to turn off and instead of trying to fix the battery, you decide to look for a road that has street lights and then go there, you will be avoiding the truth and the problem will remain the same because what if the street lights turn off by themselves?
TELL YOURSELF THE TRUTH. Every time you face a challenge, look for your character that made the challenge happen and then start fighting that character of yours. One of the best methods to use so that you could telling yourself the truth is to find time for self-assessment, if possible every week or every month or every day, just set your own schedules, in self-assessment look at the challenges you face for the day/week/month etc. and ask yourself what happens and then list the environmental reasons that lead to those challenges and list the reasons from you how you contribute to those challenges then start controlling yourself and treating yourself and if it’s difficult to treat yourself alone then look for experts to help you.
