King David was a man who knew how to make inquiry prayers (2 Samuel 21: 1-6, 14) “We need the wisdom of diagnosing problems, so we can get to know the right prescriptions to our problems, hence lasting solutions E.g “in terms of relationship, one might make covenants and vows in a previous relationship and therefore, unable to break through or make progress in subsequent relationships due to strong soul ties from the previous relationship.”
In Joshua Chapter 7, we see a humiliating defeat of the Israelites against Ai( a small city, but formidable!), God reveals the root cause problem after Joshua cried unto Him! “ Joshua 7: 10 So the Lord said to Joshua: “Get up! Why do you lie thus on your face? 11 Israel has sinned, and they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them. For they have even taken some of the accursed things, and have both stolen and deceived; and they have also put it among their own stuff. 12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they have become doomed to destruction. Neither will I be with you anymore, unless you destroy the accursed from among you. 13 Get up, sanctify the people, and say, ‘Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, because thus says the Lord God of Israel: “There is an accursed thing in your midst, O Israel; you cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the accursed thing from among you.”
The bible says, “So the Lord turned from His fierceness of His anger” (Joshua 7:26) This shows no amount of weeping or petition could change God’s mind, ONLY WHAT HE PRESCRIBED? We diagnose problems with the help of God. The greatest lesson from this is that, it is VERY IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS INQUIRE FROM GOD,” Inquiring from GOD ALWAYS BRINGS PROSPERITY (Jeremiah 10:21 For the shepherds/pastors have become dull-hearted, And have NOT sought/ INQUIRED the Lord; Therefore they shall NOT PROSPER, And all their flocks shall be scattered).
