Nyeri Governor Appreciates The Partnership With Kagumo Teachers College

Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga has praised the cordial relationship between his government and the Kagumo Teachers Training College.
In his speech delivered by Education CEC Margaret Macharia during the college’s 38th graduation ceremony last Friday, the Governor recognized the amicable relationship between the county and the institution. He pledged to maintain it to benefit students, the Nyeri citizenry, and all stakeholders.
During the ceremony, 361 graduands were conferred with Diplomas.
“The County Government of Nyeri takes pride in your college being a premier institution within our county that has, over the years, participated in training some of the best educators nationally. Allow me to congratulate everyone who has graduated for their grit, determination that has been rewarded with today’s ceremony,” he said.
The Governor noted that it is essential to know that great power also comes with great responsibility.
“You are about to venture into a profession where you will have boundless influence over the lives of young and old alike, adding that a teacher is like a candle that consumes itself to light the ways for others. The effort and sacrifices will light the way for an educated and intelligent generation. It takes a big heart to help shape little minds. As you depart from this graduation square today, remember the duties that await you,” he advised.
He also expressed his gratitude to parents, instructors, subordinates, and everyone who continuously and tirelessly shaped the journeys of the graduands.
The governor also urged the graduands to consult if necessary, seek mentorship, and remember to always network within their circles and beyond their circles.
