Ombudsman To Partner With National Government Administration Officers (NGAO) To Enhance Public Service Delivery

A section of The Commission on Administrative Justice (Ombudsma) officials led by Commissioner for Complaints and Investigations, Charles Njagua, yesterday paid a courtesy call on Murang’a County Commissioner, Mr. Joshua Nkanatha for a consultative meeting.
The County Commissioner and the team held discussion on areas of mutual interest where at the end, they resolved to collaborate in ensuring efficient service delivery to the locals.
Njagua underscored the vital role of National Government Administration Officers (NGAO) in coordinating government programs and emphasized the need for collaboration between the two organisations in among other things, effectively resolving public complaints.
He reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to strengthening the capacity of public officers in national government ministries, departments, and agencies, as well as county governments, through training on complaints handling and access to information. These initiatives aim to enhance efficiency and accountability in public service delivery.
On his part, the County Commissioner recognized the Ombudsman’s critical role in promoting good governance through administrative justice and access to information.
He pledged that his office would leverage the Commission’s complaints handling mechanisms and refer unresolved cases for further action.
Also in attendance were Director of Public Education and Corporate Communications, Osman Mohamed, Assistant Director of Investigations, Ms. Morine Akinyi, and other Commission officers.
