President William Ruto and UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer during the signing of the deals
Kenya and the United Kingdom renewed their strategic partnership, setting the momentum for more bilateral trade and investment.
The pact, which succeeds the 2020–2025 framework, is also expected to deliver growth in Information and Communication Technology.
It will also cement the two countries’ joint responses to global and regional peace and security.
This follows a Tuesday meeting between President William Samoei Ruto and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer at the 10 Downing Street in London.
At the same time, President Ruto noted that the global agreement on efforts to make the world prosperous and save the plant from the effects of climate change is not a contest between the developed and developing nations.
Instead, the President explained, the Pact for Prosperity, People and Planet, commonly known as the 4P, is meant to address unfairness of the international financial system.
