World poetry day was declared by UNESCO in 1999.The objective being to support linguistic diversity through poetic expressions and increasing the opportunity for the endangered languages to be heard.
Today we have amazing poets who are proud to be writing in their mother tongue across the globe.We celebrate Botswana’s Lame Pusetso who is a very talented young person, doing dynamics works such as organising poetry events, live performances and being an award winning author as well as a publisher!We give a shoutout to Anthony Molosi, Andrea Chuma, Mochana Motswasele, Gorata mighty Ntshwabi, poem Da ansa-Karabo Mosimanegape.

A shout out to to Uganda’s Nassur El Tablaaz, an author and a literature teacher, how can we forget the stubborn Poetry lion, Ronald Ssekajja who is the president of Poetry association of Uganda, organising events and gigs as well as grooming youngsters in Uganda.Uganda is cradle of creativity such that to mention a few and leave others it’s unfair but Beverly Nambozo Nsengiyunva whose poetry is touching beyond horizons, shoutout to Nancy kili Maturu, and the chain of amazing young inspiring poets like Daniel Tusiimukye K’abaasa, Agatha Akullu and echo minds crew, as well as other incredible young Uganda poets.
We celebrate Nico Kaseke, from Zimbabwe, the Shona performing artist who is full of resilience, I also recognize the Superlady Fungayi Jayaguru, whose poetry inspire many, beyond Zimbabwe border.A big shoutout to Khumbulani Bandula Muleya who has dedicated his life to support literature and poetry in Africa, he hosts heart and soul in Zimbabwe.
Another beautiful celebration of a young Lesotho Teboho Oa Seroki for his resilience in this tough unpaying path yet mind soothing.

The beautiful Elizabeth Taderera continue to grace intanga hub a poetry corner in on of Zimbabwe newspapers, we give a shoutout to Dennis indimuli, and kevin Ochieng, and Lewis Wamwanda for raising Swahili and Kenyan flag higher in the poetry world.
A big appreciation goes to Omary omary for his continued contributions in poetry groups, his work saw him being awarded international literature award in Botswana recently, we give kudos to Dr Lucky Lumbankira Fernandos for her contributions to love and mental health poetry book, that she collaborated with Botswana poetess Paula.O.M.Otukile, as well as her continued poetry performances, Tanzania is visible because of you guys.
