Collaborative Poem by:

I felt this novelic smell
Of the river,
That l inspired like a pinch
Of mild snuff!
With disjuncted middens
Dropped everywhere in
The zag trodden path
Diffusing their cordiality,
Barmy, chittering birds and
Their cheeping young ones
Cranking above my caput,
Embrocating the arriver
To this treasured, warless
Home!
Where they never lost a
Single wing!
Euphonious singing drums
Caressed my festal ears.
Golden dry grass smelled
Like roasted coffee granules.
Cicadas petitioned ethereal
lmmortality,
And the azure sky shimmered
In the morning rays
l embraced country serenity
And cackling hens’ peace.
My soul bathed
Under Msasa trees’ solemn
Swaying antiquated shades.
This honoured home
Never bloats a searching soul.
