Congratulations! You’ve completed thy secondary course. You have achieved whatever grade you’ve achieved. I take this opportunity to appreciate thy endurance. Many people of thy age dropped from the school but ye endured to the demise .You were used to being send home every now and then for school fees and other dues – ye faced a lot of ups and downs . There are so many contributing factors to thy KCSE grade, I understand, I am not an exception too I bore those factors. They lowered thy grade perhaps but you’ve to look forward to next BIG thing in thy life. In this article we’re looking for that next BIG thing.
- PERSONAL GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
As individuals we always have our plans and objectives which drive our lives .we sometimes have set deadlines – here I mean that we’ve specified some of our goals and deadlines. For instance, after my form four I’ll take my college course , get married and begin building my future . We always have different goals and objectives.
- CAREER BUILDING AND EDUCATION GOAL ATTAINMENT
I’ll begin by saying that there’s no grade that is fake or junk .We can’t fit in one category all of us and this is why the grades were distributed in that manner. First be proud of what you’ve. There are many people without that certificate .You still have chance to become that person ye wanted. Begin low moving upwards. I can link this with a Kiswahili saying that “Ujafa Ujaumbika” , meaning that unless you’re dead ye still have opportunities to seize – you’ve not being completely created . Build that career ye want.
- DREAMS AND TALENTS
God didn’t create and send ye as an empty vessel, he accorded ye with an intend to perform. Ye carry the keys of the doors of thy life. Ye deserve better! Today I can attest that my writing didn’t begin overnight .It is something I’ve developed over years with consistency. Start that writing, singing, dancing, acting …etc . Don’t waste time! Yebo , ye may lack the necessary resources such as finance but begin with what you’ve and one day thy door will cling open setting ye free .
- RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
Now, you’re entering into a gallant battle .Grant God thy life and the all ye. Deepen thy religious roots with him. Let him be thy controller. Reach that religious realm.
- THY COMMUNITY
Build community around ye. Detach thyself from junk friends and relatives. These people pluck off thy flowers, cut off thy leaves and start saying you’re remaining only a thorny plant. Build the world ye need around ye by associating thyself with right people.
- SEEK OPPORTUNITIES AND SEIZE THEM
Spotting and getting an opportunity is one thing but seizing is another task. Ye may not get job due to high level of unemployment in the country. If ye made thy mind to get employed you’re wrong , seize other better opportunities. For instance, you’re simply reading my work here simply because I’ve sought and seized an opportunity that will build family around me, my fans, my writing, my career and social life. I may not be necessarily paid but there’s a better side than that. I am looking the other good side of it, my career development, my personal reflection and desire.
- MOTIVATION
Seek motivation. Be self-motivated in what ye want to do. You’ll really get setbacks and discouragements but at the demise of it all you’ll see the beauty hidden in the stone. Don’t fall into discouragements.
- LOOSE FEAR
You’re solely responsible for thy own life. Don’t be lured, by anybody. I will still say “Thy decision isn’t a matter of time, age or communities expectations. Thy decision is as a result of acceptance to carry out the responsibility”. When ye feel responsible for anything go for it as long as you’re building thy life.
