Oreoluwa Lawal
The place where I was birthed
The place where I grew
The place where I was carried
The place where I will live forward
The place I was enlightened
The place I was educated, sorted and spotted
The place I became successful, famous
Where I became popular,well-known
People told me to leave my motherland
Africa, my Africa derives joy calling you
Africa my motherland, my home
Why shall I leave my history?
Where I was originated from
People told me to abscond from there
Leaving it, I am only forgetting myself, I will be lost.
