A fact/ truth: “The spiritual will always respect and honour an altar on fire.” An altar is a place of sacrifice. Fire is the language of the supernatural. Altars can be in three (3) levels:
1. Monuments
2. An institution (e.g Church)
3. A person, consider 1 Corinthians 6:19: “ Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit WHO is in you, WHOM you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s”
It is written in Leviticus 6:13 “the fire must be kept burning, it must not go out” a foreshadow of how our spiritual fire should be kept burning. Reverend Kenyan Apostle Kimani William warns against lighting strange fire*( eg coming from sinning, intelligence, gifting, psychology etc and saying God is moving therein!.), and urges believers to seek help from God in order to light and sustain the real fire that comes from HIM( JEHOVAH, WHO ANSWERS BY FIRE, AND IS THE CONSUMING FIRE).
It is best to honor God, and serve Him with all reverence and godly fear; consider 1 Samuel 2: 30 “Therefore the LORD, the God of Israel, declares: ‘I promised that your house and your father’s house would minister before me forever.’ But now the LORD declares: ‘Far be it from me! Those who HONOR ME I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained.” This clearly shows, God can never tolerate dishonor or defiling of His altar.
The best practice and way of sustaining the fire on the altar is to remain FOCUSED on the mandate/ God assignment. Unfortunately, some people fulfil earthly destiny but loose their heavenly destiny. When you are on fire, whatever is NOT of God is consumed ( e.g the story of Meshack, shadrack& Abednego in the book of Daniel). Fire is a language of the spiritual: God in this instance changed the physical fire into spiritual fire. Note, Romans 12:11:“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your SPIRITUAL FERVOUR, serving the Lord.” Worthwhile of noting is that we can increase the INTENSITY OF FIRE: e.g Nebuchadnezzar increased the intensity of that fire 7×times , this also applies to Spiritual fire which are capable of even consuming/ concentrating cancer, casting out most stubborn demons and other diseases; problems. The minister Catherine Kulman was able to do it, and she ad intercessors below the altar praying continuously making the spiritual fire burn continuously. Therefore, lets have discipline and sacrifice to sustain the fire. Know you are a carrier of the fire of the Altar of God and must be kept BURNING CONTINUOUSLY, as the scripture states in 2 Timothy 1:6 “ For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.”
