Nairobi City County Assembly nominated MCA Anita Thumbi is optimistic of winning the UDA nomination for Tetu Constituency parliamentary seat.
Ms Thumbi says she is sure of flooring other contenders led by the current MP Gichuhi Mwangi who seeking to defend the seat on the same ticket.
Addressing various forums in the constituency over the weekend, Ms Thumbi said she was committed to serve as the area MP from August and will first embark on establishing a milk processing plant in area to boost dairy farming.
The youthful politician is banking on her ground support where she has been empowering the youth, women and other marginalized groups through various initiatives.
She has also promised to address the issues of youth unemployment that is rampant in area once elected by helping establish cottage industries.
She will also champion the youth agenda in parliament, noting that the area has been underrepresented in the National Government and time has come for a youthful and vocal politician to be voted in.
Others seeking to represent the constituency through UDA include Geoffrey Wandeto and Matutu Mathenge.
