As We Bid Goodbye To 2022, Let Us Continue Praying And Trusting In God

Worth Noting:

  • The Biblical teachings are very clear. God only needs you to present your prayers to him and trust in him. If you do this, He will answer your prayers and respond.
  • Our Good Lord is in charge of your life. So, you should always be ready to accept the answer that comes from Him.
  • Let me say this. Sometimes God can do something to test whether you truly believed in Him.  So, as a believer you should always accept anything that happens to your life. Even when it is negative, this should bolden and strengthen your spiritual nourishment.

Many Kenyans have been longing to see this year come to an end. This is because of the numerous challenges that stood in their way.

They included skyrocketing of food prices, water scarcity, lack of formal employment opportunities and unconduicive business environment that led to collapse of some businesses and others operating at a loss.

The situation had been worsened by the biting drought, high-voltage presidential election campaigns and Russia-Ukraine war. This was happening at a time when the country was recovering from Covid-19 crisis.

As a born again Christian, this would be my New Year Message to Kenyans. Despite the challenges we encountered, our Good Lord was still in charge controlling everything.

This means today we are breathing and alive because of His mercies.

There are many people who would have wanted to celebrate Christmas and see the New Year.

This did not come to pass. Some have died. Others do not know what is happening because they are in great pains fighting for their lives at ICU and HDU in our hospitals.

For you, there is nothing you have given your God.

The Biblical teachings are very clear. God only needs you to present your prayers to him and trust in him. If you do this, He will answer your prayers and respond.

Our Good Lord is in charge of your life. So, you should always be ready to accept the answer that comes from Him.

Let me say this.  Sometimes God can do something to test whether you truly believed in Him.  So, as a believer you should always accept anything that happens to your life. Even when it is negative, this should bolden and strengthen your spiritual nourishment.

In the Bible, we always make reference to Verses on tribulations that befell Ayub.

He lost everything including his children. He was also taken ill and the disease worsened to a point of many concluding he stood no chance of surviving.

At one point, even his own wife gave up and told him. You keep praying and saying that God is on your side. How? You are almost dying. Denounce and abandon his God.

Ayub did not heed her call. Despite the pains, he continued praying.

All this time God was with him. God healed him and returned to him all the things he had lost.

As we bid goodbye to 2022, we should be guided by the same spirit.

We should commit ourselves to God. We should thank him for the gift of life. We should ask Him to forgive us our sins and pray Him to put behind us the challenges we had encountered.
