At first our love was unassailable,
Loved each other without a reservation
We were profoundly in love
That we could scarcely detect a sound
Suddenly, she left a shadow before my eyes
I couldn’t believe her heart was made of
Sinews
I started drowning in a river of ill-fated love
My arms were heavyset
It was difficult for me to cross the river lone

I wouldn’t see myself as an all-rounder
All the pain I fonde to be strong
But she left me with fatigue fractures and

Seriously, I lost a lover in Chiredzi Triangle
Mathematically, I had to know,

Genuinely, my lover was already my ex
