Money for bursaries is intended to assist the underprivileged who are unable to pay for their education. There are two categories of government bursary funds: sub-county and county-level. These kinds of assistance typically go a long way toward helping the impoverished pay their school expenses. This has been there for a while, but the dishonest people in it are pulling it back, and there are a lot of other little problems that interfere with how it operates. Delays in the fund’s disbursement cause disruptions to educational institutions’ finances, which in turn forces students to be sent off to pay for their tuition. Given that tribalism is the primary cause of corruption, bursary forms are merely one way to address this issue. Because government officials are in charge of it, there will inevitably be financial mismanagement and some people who don’t need it will wind up with more than others who do. In particular, these guys are being bought off to hand out paperwork, but others fail to receive them. Imagine that the wealthy receive the forms but the underprivileged do not. However, this relates to politics; after going through the entire application process, one’s name is substituted with another child’s during the payout, resulting in the loss of the bursary monies. Others receive two or three awards. Many people are lamenting the cruel treatment they receive when they go to grasp them, particularly our moms. They must wake up at 5:00 a.m. and walk a considerable distance to the stations where they will be listed in order for them to receive.
Everyone seems to be silent on this, thus I believe it’s time to give it more thought. This financing corruption for bursaries needs to end. The organization in charge of the bursary should be independent and apart from the political figures they believe are responsible for achieving their political agendas. Therefore, this body ought to be managed independently of the MPs, MCAs, and political leaders. Funds should be awarded based on the remaining balance of the student’s tuition fees. Reaccess the applicants’ personal information, including their background and employment history as well as that of their parents or guardians. Finally, the government needs to make sure that the money is disbursed on schedule so that the students can successfully finish their education.
