The group; Mau Mau War Veterans Children Post-Colonial Elite Has An Office In Nairobi City Centre Where Registration Has Been Taking Place, With 40,000 Already Registration

Descendants of former freedom fighters have been called upon to come out and register with a caucus that is promising huge Compensation for atrocities meted against their relatives.
The initiative is being coordinated by an Non-Governmental Organisation; Jeremiah Mugi Foundation and another group of former freedom fighters; Mau Mau Mau War Veterans Association.
Yesterday, the two groups organised a prayer and thanks giving event at AIC Kirenga Church in Lari constituency, Kiambu County.
Hundreds of both groups members jammed the church where Bishop Geoffrey Gichure led the sermon.
The foundation was represented by among others, its National chairman James Njuguna Mahuria while Mzee Gikonyo Githiga and Bishop Fundi Mwai led the association team.
In his sermon, Bishop Gichure who represents AIC Church, Central area called on Kenyans to pray for conflicts and wars ravaging various parts of the world.
He encouraged all believers to be more in prayers as the whole world needs God’s intervention and hence there should be no politics in places of worship.
The members of the foundation, the Veterans Association, Post colonial Elites and Matigari Welfare Association which was led by Bishop David Kiarie had a procession from the church to Wida Motel in Zambezi area, along Nairobi-Nakuru highway where elders from Baringo, Makueni and Meru counties received their Mau Mau Registers which will be used in crosscheking compensation details.
The team was joined by various leaders led by former Lari MP David Njuguna.
Those present expressed their excitement over gazettement of Public Benefits Organisation Act No 8 ,2013 which they said will advance their course for compensation.
During the meeting, they also discussed pressing issues concerning compensation for Mau Mau land claims and a broader recognition of their historical contributions in the fight for the country’s independence from British Colony.
Those present were also sensitized on various issues affecting the descendants of former freedom fighters.
The organizers urged those interested to join them to register at the National Archives on the second floor offices along Moi Avenue in Nairobi.
