CHOICES: Whether To Serve The Gods Of Worldliness Or The LIVING GOD Pt 1.

Joshua, a great military leader in the history of Israel, when he was preparing to die, he called the Israelites at Schekem, where he addressed them:
“Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15).”
Alexander the Great was asked one time, how did he conquer the world, he said: “ by NOT WAVERING.” We’ve to make firm choices. The bible records that a wavering mind, is unstable in all it ways. We have sayings today: “ A stitch in time, saves nine”; “Procrastination is the killer of time”; “No decision, is a decision”, and so on, all these are choices, make the right ones. Ask God for the grace to do so in Jesus name.
Choose TODAY, Christ demands first priority. It is either Him or the world, the Bible says: “ You can not serve two master, you will either love or hate the other; you can NOT serve God and mammon.”
The Lord, God says “deny self, and take up the cross”. You have either chosen to serve the gods of pleasure, gods of materialise, or even gods of war. Some will not admit it that they serve these gods, some do not even know it; their minds is deluded, and have no awareness, nor understanding: God have mercy, deliver us.
Joshua said irregardless of your decision, “Me and my house, we shall serve the Lord”
Adam& Eve, first man made the wrong choice by choosing to listen to the devil. From there, man’s perfect union was cut off, and he became sinful, in need of redemption, and so applies to every man born. David, the psalmist said “in sin, did my mother conceive me. The Bible records” We’ve all sinned, we are all idolaters,” Make that choice: give your life to Christ Jesus.
