COGNITIVE FACTORS IN LANGUAGE LEARNING

- -While intelligence is the ability of an individual to gain knowledge and understand cumbersome situations, aptitude can be defined as the capacity to apply the same knowledge. For example, a person may be intelligent enough to gain knowledge about military, navy and air force or defense related matters; but may not possess an aptitude to practice the same effectively in his/her real life.
- -While intelligence measures the general mental ability of an individual, aptitude measures the abilities and capacities related to specific fields. For example, an intelligent person may have knowledge related to diverse fields like engineering, medicine, administration, politics, etc; but she/he may have the capacity to practice only one of the fields effectively in the real life.
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to introduce the basic principles of cognitive factors in language learning. Tests that assess learned skills or knowledge are frequently called achieved tests. However, certain tests can assess both types of constructs. Another is the SAT, which is designed as a test of aptitude for college in the United States, but has achievement elements. For example, it tests mathematical reasoning, which depends both on mathematical ability and education received in mathematics.

Introduction: I think that all of the people have personal aptitude. An aptitude is natural talents, special abilities for doing or learning to do certain kinds of things easily and quickly… Musical talent and artistic talent are examples of such aptitudes. Some people can paint beautifully but cannot carry a tune. Others are good at talking to people but slow at paperwork.
Basic part of aptitude and intelligence
First of all, I will inform about aptitude and intelligence of cognitive factors in language learners. Aptitude is a component of a competence to do a certain kind of work at a certain level. Outstanding aptitude can be considered “talent” An aptitude may be physical or mental. Aptitude is inborn potential to do certain kinds of work whether developed or undeveloped. Ability is developed knowledge, understanding, learnt of acquired abilities (skills) or attitude. The innate nature of aptitude is in contrast to skills and achievement, which represent knowledge or ability that is gained through learning. According to Gladwell and Colvin often it is difficult to set apart an outstanding performance due merely to talent or stemming from hard training. Talented people as a results immediately in few kinds of activity but often only in a single direction or genre.
Intelligence is general mental ability. Aptitude is specific ability of a person. The knowledge of intelligence of an individual we can predict his success in a number of situations involving functions or activity.
Difference between Intelligence and Aptitude:

Importance of Attitude and Intelligence in life of civil servants.
For a civil servant the Intelligence and aptitude forms the supporting pillars in his task of serving the people effectively. Recently a civil servant narrated an incident on how he deals with a politician who was pressuring him to favour his supporters in a procurement process.
In my opinion, everyone has the ability; you just need to know how to develop it. For example, all gifted students have developed their skills and abilities by working on themselves and as a result, many of them are considered talented. Aptitude is defined as a high level of intellect or a quickness to learn. An example of someone who possesses aptitude is a student who possesses aptitude is a student who excels in math well beyond his grade level. Some common synonyms of aptitude are bent, faculty, genius, gift, knack and talent. While all these words mean
