You can maintain sensitivity of heart by developing a consistent pattern of Scripture reading, thus immersing your spirit in the Word of God. When you commune with the Holy Spirit, especially by praying in the Holy Ghost (Jude 1:20), you get accustomed to Him.
In addition, worship and praise must become your life style, if you must enjoy constant direction. God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalms. 22:3). Thus, His voice of direction will come very clearly to you when you give Him the venison His heart loves. And it shall come to pass, if THOU SHALT HEARKEN DILIGENTLY unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all His commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: Deuteronomy 28:1.
Hearing and hearkening to God’s voice of direction will set you on high, above all nations of the earth. Following divine direction has benefits. God only leads a man into the profitable paths of life. He leads him into honour, beauty, dignity and glory; making him the envy of other men. “Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I AM the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go (Isaiah 48:17).”
