Amidst the spirit of the festive season, Kamiti Youth Correctional Training Centre in partnership with the Kenyan Government has today radiated a heartwarming ambiance of celebration and camaraderie. Despite the confines of correctional life, the facility is transformed into a haven of joy and hope during this Christmas period.
The dedicated staff at Kamiti have today orchestrated a series of events and activities, aimed at nurturing a sense of belonging and fostering a festive atmosphere for the young individuals within its walls. From cheerful decorations adorning the halls to engaging workshops and artistic endeavors, the Centre is abuzz with holiday spirit.
In the warmth of the holiday season, amidst these walls, we kindle the flames of hope, offering the gift of compassion and guidance, fostering a haven of joy and transformation within Kamiti Youth Correctional Training Centre.” – PS Omollo stated
Moreover, various initiatives have been implemented to ensure the youths experience the joy of the season. Special meals had been prepared, reminiscent of traditional Christmas feasts, to offer a taste of home and togetherness. Additionally, the community has generously contributed gifts and donations, providing moments of delight and warmth for the young residents.
