DEPICTING FORMER PRIME MINISTER RAILA ODINGA IN BAD LIGHT IS UNFAIR TO HIM.

It’s so ironic to see how Kenyans in social media are talking about the Presidential candidate His Excellency Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga after the Independent Electoral Boundaries and Commission announce the presidential election results and declare Deputy President Dr. William Samoei Ruto as the president elect. In every social media platforms, twitter, Facebook, Instagram and others netizens are just posting the so called trending thing known as memes which are either talking good or bad about the Former Prime Minister and even others goes to an extent of mocking and talking bad about him. Of course William Ruto is the president elect but let’s not create mockery memes that depcite Hon. Raila Odinga, we all know as a country what the Former Prime Minister did to this country he fought for multi- partism which is now enjoyed by many not forgetting devolution, also He is an inspiration to some of the youths in the country.
We all know that it’s our democratic right as Kenyans to support any candidate of your choice but this doesn’t mean that we have been given the opportunity to mock other aspirants who loss we should style up and avoid this embodiment behavior that we are showing on media and internet. Let’s stay within our limits and not go beyond because to some extent it can bring war in our and hatred among ourselves. We know our constitution has given has rights and freedoms of speech but we should not misuse the article that declares that.
On the other hand we should stop praising someone has if the person has done something big, let’s all stay calm and embrace peace as we wait what’s is ahead of us the swearing in of the leaders elect, and especially the transitioning of power so that we can be able to go back to our normal life and continue to build our nation and the economy, election period is over and it’s time for the new government and leader that Kenyans have given them chance to lead them to resume office and work on pushing the and fulfilling the agendas that they promised Kenyans.
