Long I have stared into the eye of darkness
For some time I lived in that abyss.
Just occupying space
Losing face
Shunning my disgrace.
Still when I stare into the endless black
I feel my demons attack.
Their grip clasped tight
Hard as I fight
I see no light.
Long I have been caught in its stare
Burning through me like a flare.
From that obsidian
Home of sin
Veil growing thin.
Still I can’t escape the deep engrained thought
It is my rightful hell in which I’m caught.

Crazy Ol’ Clown
Time may continue to roll
And damned sure taken its toll
But the only things that changed
Is I went from bat shit to deranged.
Now I may be calmer but still rocking
My inner madman won’t stop knocking.
Traded the straight jacket for free hands
But the writing on the streets talk bands.
I don’t think it’s a tragedy
I see everything as a comedy.
If I can’t laugh at myself who should dare?
Cross that line see if I care.
Time is on my side and over soon.
Come on let’s all howl at the moon
‘Cause it all just doesn’t matter without a smile.
Nothing wrong with being crazy for awhile.
But being sane for a minute can take the cake
Sometimes facing seriousness is too much to take.
So Let’s go
Enjoy the show
Time may continue to roll
And damned sure taken its toll
But it isn’t going to catch me down
I will always be a crazy old clown.

Jerry Lee Langdon Jr. was born the 2nd of May, 1967 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
I was born and raised in Michigan, USA but I joined the Army 19. I came to Germany in the Army and loved it. I met my wife then and after a very rocky start trying to settle in Michigan, I realized it was not going to work so we moved back to Germany. I have now been here 30 years. My greatest inspirations were always Edgar Allan Poe, Robert Frost and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. I have been inspired by H.P. Lovecraft. Most of my inspiration and ideas come from music and the list is long as far as the artists, but Morrison is on the top. I listen to most all music but I am a metal head and inward goth at heart. If there is an element that is connected to my muse then it is water. The sound of rain, the trickling of fountains and when I shower my mind starts ticking. Other inspirations are Mythology, Hammer Films, and Twightlight Zone.
I currently have 5 self-published books available on Amazon. Temperate Darkness, Behind the Twilight Veil, Death and other cold things, The Rollercoaster Heart, and Frosted Dreams.

I am also the publisher and editor of Raven Cage zine and recently also Dark Poetry Society zine. I started Raven Cage as I love the written word and I wanted to give that love back. The same goes for Dark Poetry Society zine which was born because the group of the same name has such amazing members that they deserved their own magazine.
