Mount Kenya Times can now authoritatively report that Mbeere North Member of Parliament Honorable Geoffrey Kariuki Kiringa Ruku simply abbreviated as GK Ruku Serves his people with unmatched zeal, servant leadership, charisma and passion.
In his Facebook post, he noted:
“We spent the better part of today at the Kathanje Borehole Drilling site with geological, engineering and other technical experts from the Regional Centre on GroundWater Resources Education, Training and Research led by Eng. Kamau Samuel and Geol. Patrick Murunga as well as Director of Water Embu County, Eng. Albert Gatuta to assess the progress of the ongoing drilling of the EABL Borehole.
The independent engineering and geological experts from the Government of Kenya agency and County Director of Water have determined that so far the drilling has reached a depth of 157 metres and there are no unexpected challenges in the drilling process. The incomplete borehole is currently producing an average of 1500-2000 litres of water per hour.
We have given the drillers a go-ahead to further proceed with the drilling process to reach the 260 metres as established by the preliminary report before the drilling kicked off to ensure we achieve the maximum capacity of the borehole.
I was accompanied to the drilling site by Prof. Mathew Piero Ngugi, COM Eric Konji and Elder Kûgoca.”
