- Fortunes Munsaka:

I am sure everything is going well, following the achievement of your long standing dream. I must be asking myself, tell the world how do you feel, now that you have finally completed your project?
GLITTER NDIMANDE:
The feeling is just out of this world.
I’m happy finally one of my dreams has come true
- FORTUNES:
What challenges did you face during writing and Publishing process? If there were any, how did you manage to harness them?
During the writing period I was enjoying every single moment because I was doing what I loved. Challenges came after I finished writing
Trouble came when I told the world there is a new writer in town (laughing)
Unconstructive Critisism from people. By then the book was very small A6 size and pple refused to buy it at price I had placed. I remember the 1st person who bought my book was like I Neva expected such a small book. I thought I was going to spend the whole month reading. All that as a new kid on the block discouraged and me. And I started questioning myself wether I did the right thing by writing a book. With a heavy and weary heart I shelved the book away selling not more than 10 copies .
This was my first Publication which I had self published. I couldn’t meet the exorbitant prices which most publishers charge. That’s when I decided to self publish myself.
So maybe I can say high publisher prices was another challenge that I faced thus choosing self publishing
- FORTUNES:
I can share the feeling that you went through. It is a great pain that we often look at the outside and quantity of some things and in this case because of lack of some understanding, the world almost buried a good seed in you only because of a mere book size, and sideswiping the content inside. Well, it is of noble applaud that despite all the downturns and lowdowns you managed to even stand bold and pursue your calling.
That’s very sad especially to coming to fund yourself in the self Publishing route. However, as a victim or one of those who had challenges to meet the publisher charges. What improvements would you suggest for these publishing companies so as to cater for those upcoming authors who can hardly meet their charges?
GLITTER NDIMANDE:

Our Publishers Both seasoned and upcoming should have mercy on the author. Usually the amount they charge is sometimes not even reasonable. For example you can be charged around $30 for ISBN something which you can buy for your self for as little as a $1. Mayb it will be lack of knowledge from the budding author.
- FORTUNES:
Yes, Hosea would say, my people perish because of lack of knowledge. In these matters that’s what writers should research on before signing contracts.
Well, let us get into details inside the book. You have the book the title THERE IS A HERO INSIDE YOU, how did you arrive to come up with such a title?
GLITTER NDIMANDE:
There is a song by Mariah Carey which says ‘there’s a Hero if Look inside your heart’ It goes on to say So when you feel like hope is gone, look inside you and be strong, and you’ll finally see the truth that the Hero lies in You’…
Initialy the original title for the book was DISCOVER YOURSELF. But after listening to that song and meditating on it, the title THERE IS A HERO INSIDE YOU was birthed.
- FORTUNES:
Oh nice this is good, yes now one can safely say we draw Inspiration most from what we feed our souls. And because you were motivated by this song, your book is to motivate many people out there. This is amazing and I understand not only you feels this but the feeling is mutual even to the very supportive individuals in your spheres. You have done a great job.
GLITTER NDIMANDE:
Yess I couldn’t ignore the whispers in my heart
- FORTUNES:
So is this your last publication or you are already working on another book to come? And if yes, is it a Novel, poetry or what?
GLITTER NDIMANDE:
This is just the begining(smiling). I already have a Compilation of my Poems. Hopefully I will publish them soon. And I am working on another Motivational book. ‘Single Ladies watch the space, I’ve got something for you’
- FORTUNES:
Singles Ladies diary Interesting… What themes are there?
I bet if the spirit of writivism posses a soul, yes they become unstoppable. To this I love to encourage these wings sprouting in you Madam Ndimande. I believe you will fly a little more higher.
In 3 words, can you describe what this upcoming motivation entails?
GLITTER NDIMANDE:
(laughs)… for now let’s keep the cat in the box
Actually it’s a diary of a single lady.
Never peep into that diary you will have a heartache (laughs)
- FORTUNES:
As we conclude. Share how best the world would get hold of your books.
GLITTER NDIMANDE:
The book will be available from the author, from selected bookshops around the country and Yes on Amazon….
- FORTUNES:
This is nice. Talking from a personal experience, I have had a few individuals who are outside Zimbabwe requesting for the book I hope there will be means to supply them because they are in need of hard copies.
- FORTUNES:
Are you looking forward to Launch THERE’S A HERO INSIDE YOU anytime soon or what?
GLITTER NDIMANDE:
Yess Definitely the book has to be launched. It’s so close to my heart, Its a dream come true and it’s my special gift to the world. And I’m willing to give my book for free to someone who discoverd their talent and is enjoying the Journey.
- FORTUNES:
Your last word to an upcoming writer who’s still having fear of Publishing perhaps scared of what family would say or friends think about them… please encourage that somebody as we close.
GLITTER NDIMANDE:
Dear Author, the world is waiting to hear your story.
Yess friends will laugh at you, family won’t believe in you. They will scrutunise your English, they will tell you that you are not good enough, they will tell you who in the 21st Century buys and reads a book. But those stones thrown at you, may they not harm you. Let them be your stepping stones to reach your destiny.
- FORTUNES:
Wow! I love these words. They’re encouraging. Thank you once again
Otherwise thank you Madam Ndimande for having you in the Session. This is the beginning of wisdom and fear of the God who gave you this talent.
GLITTER NDIMANDE:
Thank you
