Information,Communications, and the Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo announced plans to establish 100,000 kilometres of fibre connectivity in most parts of the country.
The Ministry has established 112 Jitume Labs in TVETs across the country, with plans to partner with MPs to establish more in every ward.
The national government will provide computers and free training to the youth to acquire digital skills.
The aim is to link Kenyans to big companies in America, Belgium, and India, providing them with money to help combat poverty and support their families.
The ministry plans to install Wi-Fi in 25,000 markets across the country, allowing wananchi to access government services without visiting government offices.
By the end of the year, all government services will be on the E-Citizen platform, with 13,282 services currently on digital platforms.
The government is also urged to extend Jitume Laboratories to other colleges in the county, put Wi-Fi at two modern markets in Mukuyuni and Emali, and prioritise water projects in the county.
The Principal of David Mbithi Wambuli Technical and Vocational College, Daniel Muumbi, has requested assistance in obtaining more land to expand the institution.
