World Toilet Day is a Universal recognized event commemorated on 19th November every year to inspire Action in Tackling Global Sanitation.
Worldwide, 4.2 Billion people live without “Safely managed Sanitation” with almost 673 million people practicing Open Defecation (OD). Homabay County is putting efforts and mechanisms to end Open defecation, already three subcounties: Rachuonyo South, Rangwe and Homabay Town achieving Open Defecation Free Status, other sub counties following suit.
