In the middle of the night, my sleep was disturbed,
I thought a lot, I couldn’t bear it.
Questions also came from the heart β
Why did you become such an expatriate?
Yeah, it is possible that there is shortcoming in the household β
We may not have had bread, soup and salt
On a difficult day, it is known who is an enemy and who is a friend,
Why are you such an expatriate?
Do you remember the days without salt?
The sound that came out of your heart,
The days you spent patiently
Why are you such an expatriate?
Look, I miss your beautiful eyes,
You cried blood at night and laughed during the day
Say, mother, say, my mum
Why are you such an expatriate?
Let the cold summer be gone,
Even the autumn that tormented you
Let that face disappear too
Why are you such an expatriate?
Here is your sprout that has grown,
He grew up with lacking affection,
You will feel different after reading my poem,
Why are you such an expatriate?
May your bright days begin, Mother
If you cry, cry from happiness, Mother
Those who were jealous yesterday are envious today
Why are you such an expatriate?
You are my patience, my strength, my wings, my mother
You are the light of my eyes, my world, my mother
You are my darling, piece of my heart, my mother,
Why are you such an expatriate?
