Worth Noting:

  • A poet young in age describing a certain scenario may make the audience praise him for his old age heroic adventures forgetting that he is just a young man narrating a fictional story. Some may go ahead and seek advice from him on how to achieve such great heights in life as their imaginations have been captured to think that the depicted situation is real.
  • Nonverbal signs as you talk or even in your silence means a lot to your audience for example when you fail to smile or strictly look at those you have given certain instructions they will know that you are strictly and closely following them up with an aim of seeing whether they have taken heed of your directions.

As a vessel is known by the sound, whether it is cracked or not; so men are proved, by their speeches, whether they be wise or foolish….……… Demosthenes

During my school days when a bell was rang it was obvious to everyone of us that we need to change from the activity to another unless it was a double lesson so we know we have started the second session of that lesson.

Among the chicken when the rooster crows it is an indicator of a new dawn, it has mated, establishment of dominance in a chicken yard and alerting fellow chicken that there is a predator around.

In a football match the sound of a referee’s whistle signals change in action even if a player is in a goal scoring position shooting the ball into the net after a whistle is blown while the match is continuing he becomes aware that even if he scores that goal will not count instead he will be shown a yellow card as a warning.

Hearing people laugh is an indicator that they are happy about something either currently happening or have remembered something amusing that happened some time ago.

Early in the morning birds are always eager to sing with beautiful melodies welcoming a new day. It is a joyous song.

A person may be speaking a hard hitting message in a persuasive tone that makes anyone who he intend to receive message to feel guilty if he has committed the offence highlighted and dissuade anyone who had intended to do so in future to refrain from doing so.

Looking confused as you speak on weighty issues makes your audience not to take you seriously they even wonder whether you are aware of whatever you are saying. No matter how well packaged is your content many would just ignore it. On the other hand an open liar who is exuding confidence in his speech may be taken with a lot of seriousness by his audience as they trust his method of delivery despite the inapplicability of his message in real life.

Those who are consistence in telling the truth will tend to be taken seriously by those who they oftenly talk to or those who hear message from them. Any bit of their message will be given necessary weight even without need for further consultations.

Those who partially lie in their talk to others will be held in doubt as anything they say requires to be verified further as their past record leaves a room to think twice before trusting their message.

There are people who always behave as if they are in hurry all the time while others tend to complain every time. It happens that those who regularly interact with them gets used to their behavior even when genuinely in hurry they are never taken serious even when wronged it is hard to trust them.

Whenever you communicate any message both verbally and nonverbally know your target audience and take all the necessary measures to ensure that your message has been received as intended.
