Does it mean that contracting HIV/AIDs infection is the end for you?, it is so direct that people will have fear to be near anyone with the infection!, we all have questions about life and how to go about it, but I t will always be easier for one to undergo medication and share personal status for the better tomorrow.
In the vast Nairobi city is one among many having bigger percentage of people living with HIV/AIDs infection, many of them being young and energetic men who could not have evade and abstain from sex due to personal desires, many live with regrets and others find themselves in the traumatizing edge.
University students are the most affected here, many of them left their home places hoping to get greener pastures in the city, but ended up being swallowed by the desires of the city. Man is to error if found yourself in such situations its better to seek counseling and know it’s not the end for you! Many a times students are very ignorant when it comes to the issue of HIV status that’s why most don’t us protection and end up contracting the virus.
The government is putting tireless efforts to ensure the transmission of the deadly virus is minimized, that why when you walk around any government institution of higher education you will find condoms which are given for free, they also advise people to take advantage of the pre exposure prophylaxis (prEp) and post exposure prophylaxis ( PEP) to curb the issue of transmitting the deadly virus.
What do i do now? Take your medication, eat healthy nutritious food, exercise, get your blood work done, and see an infectious disease or HIV specialist. Enjoy your life in a way only those of us who have been confronted by our vulnerability and mortality can do,” It is not a death sentence.
