Any attempt at arresting MPs and other Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua  allies will lead  to mass demonstrations in the capital city, former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has warned.

Speaking in Nyeri and Karatina towns yesterday after attending a memorial service of 21 boys who perished in Hillside Academy fire tragedy, Kalonzo noted that President William Ruto had vowed not to use the police to settle political scores but is apparently doing it with vengeance.

Former Cabinet Minister Eugene Wamalwa who is also the DAP-Kenya party leader urged the Wiper leader to lead lawyers in protecting citizens interests in court as the ruling class is hellbent on strangling the economy and wellbeing of the citizens.

“Gachagua’s biggest crime is refusing to play ball in the wanton plunder of the economy, including the sale of the JKIA and Linda Mama Programme,” said Wamalwa amid thunderous  applause from the massive crowd.

Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua said that President Ruto should be the one facing impeachment as he has let down Kenyans after renigning on his countless pledges.

“Kama Gachagua anarudi Mathira, Ruto arudi Sugoi mbele maana yeye ndite anewahandaa Wakenya,” noted Wambua, a former journalist.

His sentiments were  echoed by former Kiambu governor Ferdinard Waititu who describe Ruto as a pathological lier who could  not  be believed and should be out of leadership.

Youths who described themselves as Gen-Zs dared the President to eject his deputy and be prepared to be forcefully hounded out of the State house.

“Last time we got into Parliament, next time we will throw Ruto out of State House and reclaim our sovereignty,” declared the Ge-nZs who were represented by either gender.

Jubilee party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni noted that  they had been vindicated on their long held stand that the current Head of State did not have the capability to effectively  govern the country.

Kalonzo’s entourage was wildly cheered as it snaked its way along the streets of Nyeri and Karatina towns.

The Azimio la Umoja affiliated leaders also declared their support for the  Deputy President amid Impeachment threat

They accused the President of attempting to divide the Mt. Kenya region to prevent them from voting as a bloc in the 2027 elections, a move they said would not succeed.

They expressed concerns that the current administration is betraying the DP despite the Mt. Kenya region’s support for the government during the 2022 elections under his leadership.

Musyoka claimed that the much-anticipated impeachment motion is simply an attempt to divert attention from the corruption within the government.

“Instead of fighting the ongoing corruption in government, they want to divert attention as they continue to steal public funds. That’s why they’re bringing up the issue of the Deputy President’s impeachment,” Kalonzo stated.

“I am in every corner of this mountain, and no one will divide the people here. We will continue to unite, and Deputy President, be strong—you will overcome this,” he added.

Wamalwa also voiced his support, stating that those attempting to undermine the Deputy President will soon realize that the people of Mt. Kenya have allies.

“We will rally behind you so that your people and others know you have friends who can help,” Wamalwa said. “It’s very painful to see what this government is trying to do to Rigathi Gachagua, who put all his efforts and resources into getting this government elected.”

Jubilee Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni added that they intend to keep the Kenya Kwanza government in check for the remaining three years before regrouping with Azimio and other like-minded leaders to form a new government that will serve the interests of all Kenyans.

“We want to monitor this government closely for the remaining three years so that it doesn’t harm innocent Kenyans. After that, we will work on establishing an administration that will be more economically friendly to Kenyans,” Kioni stated.

Other leaders in the public meeting included Mumias East MP Peter Salasya who also the other leaders sentiments.
