Prayer is a gift from God to you and a privilege. The gift is offered to all and all may become the wielders of the great power in prayer. However, the fact remains that the power of prayer is least exercised by the average believer. You will do well to learn the art of warfare prayer, as Christ Jesus said, “man always ought to pray and not give up( Luke 18: 1).”
It is written, “Rejoice always, Pray without ceasing, with thanksgiving in all circumstances,, for this is the will of God in your life( 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18). The present prayer ferventness/ exercise/temperature of many Christians needs to rise if they expect serious breakthroughs and results. Battles in God are won via prayers and not carnality or prowess ness or earthly weaponry.
There ought to be in your life prayer points that are targeted at certain needs so that as you are praying, you will not be beating the air. Therefore, locate your area of need by looking with a spiritual diagnostic eyes and identify particulars areas that you ought to focus your prayers on. Select the appropriate Scriptures promising you that you desire. Meditate on them and let them sink into your spirit.
Go about the prayers fervently in any of the ways as led by the Holy Spirit: It can be Three consecutive days’ vigil. Three day’s fast (breaking daily) that is, praying at intervals and breaking the fast. Three or more days of dry fast, that is, praying and fasting three or more days without any food or drink. Let’s recall Jesus words, “ this kind can comes out ONLY BY PRAYERS AND FASTING (Mark 9:29).”
NOTE: Spend part of the vigil or fasting praying in the spirit. Praying in the Spirit is an ability to pray in tongues as given utterance by the Holy Spirit. To pray in the Spirit, you must have been baptized in the Holy Ghost .Consider 1 Corinthians 14:15 “So what shall I do? I will pray with my Spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my Spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding.”
You will be victorious, in Christ Jesus’ name: AMEN.
