Kieni MP Njoroge Wainaina alias Chieni distributing relief supplies in his constituency on Mashujaa day.

Kieni constituency Member of Parliament Njoroge Wainaina alias Chieni says his residents and livestock have adversely been affected by the ongoing drought.
Consequently, the UDA law maker has appealed to wellwishers to come to the aid of his constituents and their livestock.
In an interview yesterday, Chieni said thousands of residents and their animals were facing starvation and needed urgent assistance.
He said he had established a relief fund appeal and made a personal contribution of Sh1 million towards it.
“I have made a personal contribution of Ksh. 1 million towards “Let’s Feed Kieni” food donation program,” he said as he disclosed him and his team were targetting to raise 500 tonnes of food and have the same donated to the residents next week.
The donations, he revealed will be distributed on 3rd November 2022.
He added, “The initiative will also see us donate Maize planting Seeds like “Ndūma Maize Seedlings” that grows with short rains.The seeds will be distributed to the areas in our 8 wards in the constituency so that our People can also plant. The Lord will give us rain”.
The legislator’s appeal comes two days after Nyeri County governor Mwalimu Mutahi Kahiga commissioned a team that will spearhead solicitation and distribution of relied supplies to affected families in the area.
