A section of Laikipia County government ministers (County Executive Committee Members – CECM) yesterday took oath of office.
In a ceremony witnessed by Governor Joshua Irungu, his deputy Reuben Kamuri and other senior Government officials, the ministers officially took office and are now expected to assist in fulfilling the governor’s pledge to the local residents, visitors and investors.
The ceremony that took place at the governor’s office in Nanyuki town saw Samuel Wachira Gachigi take office as the one in charge of Finance and County planning and Development, Edwin Kasoo as the head of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries and Albert Wagurah Taiti the one responsible for Health.
Also sworn in was Leah Njeri for the docket of Water, Environment and Natural resources, Martin Ekwam Nabos as the person in charge of Infrastructure, Lands, Public works and Urban Development with Stephen Biwott Kisorio taking over the Trade, Tourism, Cooperatives and Enterprise development docket.
The governor urged them to diligently serve the people.
