This is neither the first time nor the second time that the country is experiencing chaos that result from gang robbery. They have been taking place and almost became a norm
Recently in Mombasa old town armed gangs have been robbing and killing innocent Kenyans in broad daylight, in a clip shared on the internet.
The incident has worried many Kenyans as it possesses a threat to security and freedom of movement in the area as the perpetrators are yet to be arrested.
Youths should not disrupt peace of hardworking Kenyans, this is a problem that has been digging deeper in the country’s economic space since most are unemployed and seeking quick ways to earn money. Itโs high time the young generation starts depending on themselves and work hard. Though unemployment may be a problem this should not be used as an excuse to engage in robbery.
The government is working on ensuring that employment opportunities are available for all youths in the country example through kazi mtaani, itโs also providing subsidies for those wishing to venture into business.
What is happening is a perfect lesson that should be learned by police to awake from their deep sleep and take action immediately. I urge the police and other security organs to take action against youths caught in armed robbery and charged to serve as examples to others
Let every Kenyans feel free to continue with their work without worry of been robbed. Let the youths instead promote peace in their areas and be responsible for their actions
