Reading is a bright and blessed path. And the book is a guide on this path. Of course, there is much to be said for the benefits of keeping up with books. For this reason, our president Shavkat Mirziyoyev, from the first days of his leadership of the state, developed a number of legal documents on the promotion of reading culture in New Uzbekistan in a new direction. “If a country has a lot of bookstores, the population of that country will be readers” – “Development of the system of publishing and distribution of book products, increasing and promoting the culture of book reading and reading” The law document “On the program of comprehensive measures for reading” developed by our president was one of the first steps towards the promotion of reading.
In Uzbekistan, following the deeply meaningful principle of “Literary friendship – eternal friendship”, very serious attention was paid to the issue of translating and publishing masterpieces of world literature into the Uzbek language. Because a real reader reads books carefully. Based on this goal, it became one of the main tasks to deliver works to the student as he wanted.
Let’s listen to the following opinions of Muhammad Jabalrudi about the book: “O dear! There is no dearer and more pleasant interlocutor for a person than a book. The book has no equal in its eloquence, maturity, grace, and is a companion free from hypocrisy. In times of loneliness and sadness, munis is a blessing. There is neither discord nor grudge in him. He is so sympathetic that there are no lies or mistakes in his words. A conversation is not enough for a person.
He does not hurt his friend’s tongue. And he does not squeeze his heart. She is such a wife that no one gossips behind her back. You will benefit from his conversation in such a way that you cannot find such benefits from other people. On the contrary, a person is harmed by the conversation of many people. In a friend like a book, all knowledge is embodied, which keeps people aware of the past and the future.
That is why they say, “The book is the fortress of the mind.” For this reason, our president often emphasizes at meetings and meetings that a student who has taken a single step towards reading will never turn back. It is not without reason that young people should be interested in reading in any way, and in this way, a car is presented as the main achievement of the traditional “Young Reader” republic competition organized by the Youth Union organization. of course.
Realizing the essence of the proverb “What a bird sees in its nest, what it sees in its nest”, republican contests such as “The Book Family” and “The Best Book Reader Family” are organized every year in order to develop reading in families, which are the main focus of education.
As another proof of the fact that reading is being widely promoted in Uzbekistan, the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 781, adopted on December 14, 2020, “The National Program for the Development and Support of Reading Culture in 2020-2025 we can cite the draft law on approval. As part of the implementation of this decision, we are witnessing the development and systematic implementation of the national program of the state.
In cooperation with the Information and Mass Communications Agency under the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Youth Affairs Agency, the Ministry of Culture and the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, the first week of April every year starting from 2021 has been designated as “Book Reading Week” in the Republic of Uzbekistan. we are witnessing that it is being organized at the level.
Among such things, we can mention the “Mutolaa” application, which continues to occupy a place on our smartphones. Through this application, we are witnessing that readers are reading audio and electronic forms of books of various genres with high quality and convenience. Among such big works, there are many small ones that make their contribution. For example, in order to make students of Navoi region interested in science and reading, in order to give them a wider understanding of “higher education”, in cooperation with the Navoi State Pedagogical Institute and the 11th school in Navoi city, “Smart Reader” intellectual school was established. And it would not be wrong to say that this was the reason for the emergence of interests not only among students but also among teachers. Small projects like these are the foundation of large reading projects in our country.
Our president said: “A person who has read books and worked on himself will have wings. He will not be indifferent. His strength is in his knowledge. That’s why he doesn’t like anyone. It does not flatter the “adults”. He has knowledge, he has knowledge. Here’s why we say read a book. “If you read a book, you will know how to ask questions,” it is known from his words that young people who believe in their knowledge and strength, generally believe that book-reading Uzbeks will build New Uzbekistan. Citizens of Uzbekistan between the ages of 7 and 70 should love books in such a way that they can raise our country to higher heights. For this goal, our president relies on young people like us. We will not stop working and reading to justify their trust in us.
