It’s now without an aorta of doubt that President Dr. William Samoei Ruto is keen to develop the once neglected Lower Eastern Region that encompasses Ukambani.
The greatest gesture by His Excellency The President was the unveiling of the multimillion affordable housing project in Mavoko notwithstanding the fact that the region voted for him sparingly.
Voicing his sentiments on this is the popular Mavoko leader Anthony Ngunga who said:
“We are very grateful to his excellency the President for his kind gesture towards developing our region. Ukambani is now strategically positioned to benefit from mega infrastructure development projects.
“The President, in his wisdom, did not seek for revenge based on the fact that our region voted overwhelmingly for Azimio Leader Raila Odinga while President Ruto managed just a handful.
Hon Anthony Ngunga hailed this move and urged president Ruto to continue extending development in the area.
Mr Ngunga’s remarks follow yesterday’s launch of affordable housing project in Mavoko.
“As leaders we hail the inclusivity..let’s work with the government of the day..campaign time is over so let’s support the government. Let’s also observe patience and give His Excellency time to shape his Government and deliver to Kenyans, the highly respected leader noted.
He at the same time implored upon Kenyans who are borrowing the Hustler Fund to utilise the money Prudently.
Mr Ngunga also advised against utilising the borrowed money for recurrent expenditure or leisure but emphasized that the money should be used either to start or grow businesses
“We have heard testimonials from reputable business people like Nginyo Kariuki, Njenga Karume, Stanley Githunguri and others who started very humbly and they grew their business ventures into empires. So let nobody belittle the HUSTLER FUND. This is a very noble idea that seeks to empower all Kenyans regardless of their social strata.
Ngunga at the same time urged Kenyans to turn a deaf ear to some irrational politicians who are telling them not to repay the HUSTLER FUND money.
